I had three clear ornaments left over from the brown paper curl ornaments and I was itching for a quick crafty project the other night.  Enter washi tape ornaments on Odessa May Society.  I left the computer immediately to grab the ornaments and washi tape.

I only have two rolls of washi tape, originally purchased for our Milk and Cookies party.  Good news is, although my washi tape is not metallic like the inspiration, any washi tape works great for this project.  Look how cute that washi tape wrapped ornament looks nestled in the tree.

I played around with tape placement until I found a look I liked.  My favorite is the grey striped washi tape ornament.  For the last one, I used both tapes together to create a rugby stripe.  I cut the grey striped tape in half lengthwise and layered it on top of the diagonal striped tape.

I love the translucency of the tape allowing the ornaments to glow by the lights on the Christmas tree.
