Nursery Goes Big Boy Room
My youngest is growing up way too fast. A few months ago when he turned two, we converted his crib to a toddler bed. We swapped out the full rail on one side for the toddler rail. This is the same Room & Board crib my hubby hunted down for me at the outlet when I was sick and pregnant with our first. Our oldest used the crib and toddler bed, then passed it on to his little brother. It is bittersweet that our second has now grown up to the toddler bedrail.

Big boy also gets a pillow. This one is a 12 x 16 inch lumbar pillow. This smaller size is perfect for a toddler bed. The cover is an organic cotton screen print fabric from designer Lara Cameron. I made it years ago using my envelope pillow method.
What else does a big boy need? Something warm and soft to step on in the morning, of course. I have always wanted a faux sheep skin rug in front of his crib, but it seemed silly in front of a crib that he can’t get out of. Now that he can actually step out onto the rug, it makes more sense.

This cuteness practically climbed into my cart at Target all by himself. For $29.99, I was sold.
His animal theme nursery was screaming for a shaggy rug! The super soft rug completes his big boy bed transformation. His cute little toes get to step on this guy every morning.

Cute! I’ve been searching for inexpensive sheepskins for my dining room. It was $29.99?!?! Was it on clearance or something? The one online at Target.com is listed for $99. Thanks!
Heather,
No, this was full price…seriously. I frequent my Target and know they must have just gotten these in. They were on an end cap in the main aisle near the bedding and bath stuff. They also had them in grey and black. I totally could not believe the price either!
You know I am going to have to go look for those!
Can I ask, and if you know, what is the paint color on the walls?
Rebecca, The wall color is Plumage by Martha Stewart.
