Glittered Card Holders

Double-sided tape and glitter = magic!

This is possibly the easiest and quickest DIY project I have ever done.  These glittered card holders are perfect for displaying holiday cards, as place card holders for setting the table, or to hold food labels at your New Year’s party.

I know we are at the height of the season and all wish we had more time, but I assure you this is one cute little project that you can squeeze in.  Plus, you will feel like you accomplished something…and very quickly.  Quick wins are a good thing at the busiest time of the year.

I found this jumbo silver paper clips at Target.  They are in the office supplies section and come as a set of 6.  They were less than $3.  You will also need double-sided tape and glitter.

This is so easy, it almost seems silly to give directions.  Anyway, put a piece of double-sided tape on each side of the binder clip.  Hold the binder clip over a plate and sprinkle on the glitter.

I am using a set of glittered card holders to display Christmas cards we have received.  Just me, or are they rolling in kind of slow this year?  I think everyone procrastinated like I did.  For the ones we have received, they are now on display on the stenciled star tray…each with their own glitter stand.  To keep the larger cards from tipping over when someone walks by, I used a little poster putty to fix the binder clips to the tray.

We are having my family over to celebrate Christmas tonight.  I think it might be fun to use these as place card holders.  I will let my son write out everyone’s name.  I am sure he will be happy to help decide where they sit, too :)
