I think I found my favorite local home decor store, and that is not an exaggeration. I am in love with every single item in the store. Prime and Polish is a quaint shop in South Minneapolis owned by Jessica Moriarty. She has an eye for style and has curated an amazing shop, which just opened in May.
When Jessica invited me over for a private tour of the store, I immediately scoped out her website, and fell in love. She had me at the beautiful logo! Jessica explains the reason she created the shop:
“I believe in the importance of home; it’s where our day begins and ends, it’s our safety net, a place to gather with loved ones and create memories, and above all it’s a place that is completely ours.”
Well, I believe all the same things!!! So, naturally I had to check out the shop in person. The slogan on the shop window says it all…”realistic home decor”.
Jessica has a great eye for design and it shows throughout the store. The shop is stocked with the most stylish home decor and furniture. It is styled into wonderful and frequently changing vignettes. Jessica even carries one-of-a-kind furniture and decor that she has made over herself.
Passerbys are drawn into the store by the wonderful window display, more specifically the colorful hanging pillows! In fact, while I was visiting with Jessica on a day the store was closed, a few people couldn’t help but wander in and buy a pillow!
Whether you need a great housewarming or hostess gift, or are working on decorating your home, you will find something amazing at Prime and Polish.
The store is as inspiring, as it is fun to shop. Jessica was a DIYer long before she was a shop owner. I love her DIY obmbre frame wall behind the cash wrap.
The styling throughout the store is spot on!
Since, the shop was closed while I was there, I didn’t do any shopping, but as I edited photos I couldn’t help but make a list of the pieces I want to go back for! Sadly, there is no online store, so if you are not in the Minneapolis area I hope you appreciate the visual eye candy and Jessica’s fabulous styling.
