Eat In Kitchen {Home Tour}

The main living area of our home is an open family room, kitchen, and eating area.  Our home may be a builder basic, but it came with some nice features in the kitchen including dark hardwood floors, granite counters, and a pantry.

This space is still a work in progress.  Here is how we are doing so far.

    Hi,

    What is the wall color in your kitchen (the little wall space on top of the kitchen cabinets)? Is it Driftwood Grey like the dinning area also?

    I love your house! Thanks for posting, your site gave me a lot of great ideas.

      Hi Marisa, Thanks so much for reading. The kitchen walls are also painted in Driftwood Grey. We used that color for all our hallways, foyer, kitchen, mudroom, and loft.

    Can you tell me the pattern/color/name of your backsplash tile? Thank you!

    I love your blog! We have a similar home, a new build typical home. I noticed you had the same overhang eating “nook” area in your kitchen. We even have the same brackets on the granite. Can you show a photo of what you did there? It’s seen on your before photo. We have a pair of boring bar stools, but I was curious if you painted underneath on the granite side. I’m not sure if I’m making sense, it’s hard to explain.

    Your blog is such an inspiration to me. I think we may finally be able to move away from “builder’s beige” and have a coordinated looking home.

    I also love your blog and all your colors and creativity! Does your wood flooring have a reddish tint to it?(looks like it on my screen) I have a dark red mahoganyish wood flooring(throughout the house) and am trying to put together a color scheme and think the colors you have would look great. Thank you for being so inspirational!

      Hi Diana,

      Thanks for the lovely comment!

      Our floors do have a reddish undertone. It is not quite as rich as mahogany, but when the sun shines on the floors you can definitely see the red. The blues and grays throughout our house compliment the floors nicely.
